Trees are a type of flora that grow in the the Animal Crossing series. They come in two forms: The Oak/Fruit Tree and the Cedar Tree. Trees cannot die, and are planted by saplings or fruit, depending on the tree.
A non-fruit oak tree will become a Cherry Blossom during the Cherry Blossom Festival. All trees become covered in snow during winter and change color during the year to match the seasons.
These trees resemble the Oak Tree, however, they also bear fruit. Unlike regular oak trees, acorns will not spawn under them. The fruit that they can bear are Apples, Cherries, Pears, Peaches, Oranges, Mangos, Durians, Lemons, Lychees, and Persimmons.
Delicious fruit is possible that can grow from a fruit tree, however, the leaves will fall out, meaning the delicious fruit tree will have died.
Cedar Trees will grow in the top half of the village, and cannot grow near the coast. They will have Christmas lights near late December.
Coconut Palms only grow near the coast. They bear two Coconuts, and spawn the rare types of beetles in the game.
The Banana Tree is a variation of the Coconut Palm. They can only grow near the coast, and are obtained on the island.
The Money Tree bears money as it's fruit. It is grown by planting a bag of bells, and when it grows, the money is tripled, though it doesn't always grow money.
