The Parents, also known as Father and Mother, are two unseen characters that will write letters to the player, though they cannot be written to. Mother tends to write more letters than Father, who will only write on Father's Day.
Mother tends to write a small little story or joke about life in the character's home prior to moving into town. These tend to be words of wisdom or guidance. Sometimes these letters will have a gift attached, usually fruit.
Father will only write on Father's Day and sends the player a red carnation.
